And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood
twelve years,
And had suffered many things of many physicians, and
had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but
rather grew worse,
When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind,
and touched his garment.
For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be
whole.
And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried
up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that
plague.
And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue
had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and
said, Who touched my clothes?
And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude
thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
And he looked round about to see her that had done this
thing.

But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was
done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him
all the truth. And he said unto her, Daughter, THY FAITH
HATH MADE THEE WHOLE; go in peace, and be whole
of thy plague.
Mark 5:25-34

1. This woman had been bleeding for twelve years. A
woman is normally supposed to bleed for three to five
days. This woman probably was smelling because
blood starts to smell after some time.
And a certain woman, which had an issue of BLOOD
TWELVE YEARS,
Mark 5:25

2. This woman was financially broke because she had
spent all her money on many physicians and doctors.
She must also have been dizzy because she was
suffering from blood loss and anaemia. This woman
was not feeling any better despite all the medical tests
and procedures she had undergone.
And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had
SPENT ALL THAT SHE HAD, and was nothing bettered,
but rather grew worse,
Mark 5:26

3. When she heard of Jesus she immediately had faith
and made a confession within herself. Faith comes
by hearing. She knew that in the Old Testament the
garments of the priests were anointed. Therefore, she
knew that when if she could just touch the hem of His
garment, the anointing would flow into her.
When SHE HAD HEARD of Jesus, came in the press
behind, and touched his garment.
Mark 5:27

4. You can have what you say! You will have what you
say! This woman said if she touched His garments she
would be made whole. And she had what she said.
FOR SHE SAID, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be
whole.
Mark 5:28

5. Many other people touched Jesus that night but none
of them got healed. This shows that there are different
types of touches. A touch of love! A touch of lust! A
touch of comfort and a touch of faith! This woman
had a touch of faith!
For she said, IF I MAY TOUCH but his clothes, I shall be
whole.
Mark 5:28

6. The power of God is something that can be felt. Jesus
felt the power of God going out of Him and the woman
also felt the power of God entering her.
And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up;
and SHE FELT in her body that she was healed of that
plague.
Mark 5:29
And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue
had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and
said, Who touched my clothes?
Mark 5:30

7. Some of the people around a man of God may not be
sensitive to the anointing.
And HIS DISCIPLES SAID unto him, Thou seest the
multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, who touched
me?
Mark 5:31

8. Jesus looked around Himself for the one who had
touched Him.
And he looked round about to see her that had done this
thing.
Mark 5:32

9. The lady confessed that she had touched Him with
faith.
But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was
done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him
all the truth.
Mark 5:33
10. Jesus explained to the lady that it was her faith that
had made her whole.
And he said unto her, Daughter, THY FAITH HATH
MADE THEE WHOLE; go in peace, and be whole of thy
plague.
Mark 5:34

11. The miracle healing of the woman with the issue of
blood demonstrates the love of God, the compassion
of Jesus Christ, the greatness of Jesus Christ and the
power of the Holy Spirit.
… For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he
might destroy the works of the devil.
1 John 3:8
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.
John 3:16

12. At the time of your death, only your faith will be
important.
But as many as received him, to them gave he the power to
become the sons of God, even TO THEM THAT BELIEVE
ON HIS NAME:
John 1:12
1. You must have faith in the blood of Jesus.
2. You must have faith in the resurrection of Jesus.
3. Your faith in the death of Jesus Christ on the cross will make
you whole.
