READ: Revelation 22:12-14
“And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.“ – Revelation 22:12
What are we called to do? Are we all called to be apostles, prophets, evangelists and teachers? The answer is a simple, “No.” Most of us do not have these fantastic high callings. We are all simply called to be fruitful. There is a call to fruitfulness.
If we were to follow our Christian teachings to their logical conclusions, most Christians would become sacrificial and do something for God. The saddest, and perhaps, ugliest feature of many Christians today is how little we do for Christ. We have been saved by an amazing act of love and grace, but we are not prepared to give up anything to save others. It is so sad to see Christians waste their lives away , doing nothing for the Lord.
God’s admonition to us is to use the time we have on earth to do as much for Him as possible. We must work while it is day . The only wise thing to do with your life is to redeem the time for the work of the Lord. Unfortunately , many people do not treat time and opportunity as a special commodity. Time is something rare and precious, which God gives to all of us. It is the only thing you cannot regain or get back. When it is gone, it is gone forever.
You must redeem the time because that is the only wise thing to do with your life.
“You don’t need to hear a call; you’re already called.”
