“Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.” – Hebrews 3:2
Be filled with the knowledge of God’s will concerning your personal ambitions.
For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.(John 6:38)
I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. (John 5:30)
The perfect will of God for a minister is not to pursue his own will but to do the will of God who sent him. It is important to make it your desire not to do your own will but the will of the Father.
A minister who will succeed is someone who will constantly put aside his own will and submit to the will of the Father. We all have childhood dreams and personal human ambitions. But none of these must interfere with God’s will for your life and ministry.
Perhaps, as a child, you desired to live in America. But the will of the Lord may be that you live and minister in Africa. If a door therefore opens for you to live in America, you must set aside your own will and do the will of God.
Hence, when He [Christ] entered into the world, He said, Sacrifices and offerings You have not desired, but instead You have made ready a body for Me [to offer]; In burnt offerings and sin offerings You have taken no delight. Then I said, Behold, here I am, coming to do Your will, O God — [to fulfill] what is written of Me in the volume of the Book.
