READ: Haggai 1:4-11
“Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and i will take pleasure in it, and i will be glorified, saith the lord. Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it HOME, I DID BLOW UPON IT. Why? saith the Lord of hosts. …..” – Haggai 1:8-9
Why would you want God to blow on your salary? Why would you want God to blow your salary away? Instead of labouring to have a higher salary, labour to build the house of God so that God does not blow on your salary. God wants to bless you but He wants you to think about His house. Why do you not rise up and go to the mountain and cut some wood to build the house of God? The heavens over your head will open. The ground will bring forth her fruit.
Labour for the church to be built even if you do not get the glory for it! Have a heart to raise money to build the house of God. Stick your neck out and take some embarrassment for the house of God. Fight for the church to have land! Fight for the church to have property! It is not only pastors who must build churches. All those who love God must build His house.
The cities of God are a series of church buildings. Through your prosperity, let the cities of God be spread abroad. The cities of God speak of the many buildings that must be built in the name of God during our lifetime. When we put together all the churches you have built, it will form a veritable city. Labour to build the cities of God!
Cry yet, saying, thus saith the Lord of hosts; MY CITIES THROUGH PROSPERITY SHALL YET BE SPREAD ABROAD; and the Lord shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem. Zechariah 1:17
Today, you can work with all your heart to build the house of God. It is time to have a good vision for your life.
