READ: Proverbs 26:12-16

…not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;” Romans 12:11, NASB

All pastors who exert a constant effort to accomplish church growth can expect:

*To be found without spot and blameless: “…be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless” (2 Peter 3:14).

*To become rich through their work: “…the hand of the diligent maketh rich” (Proverbs 10:4).

*To become men of authority in charge of huge churches: “The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute” (Proverbs 12:24).

*To be made anointed, prosperous and fat: “The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat” (Proverbs 13:4).

*Plenteousness in church members and church growth: “The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want” (Proverbs 21:5).

*To gain access to the corridors of power and influence: “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men” (Proverbs 22:29).

*To have a great ministry that will last many generations: “Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds. For riches are not for ever: and doth the crown endure to every generation?” (Proverbs 27:23-24)
