READ: Romans 12:1-2
“…that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” – Romans 12:2
The will of God can be described as being perfect or imperfect. The imperfect will of God is called
imperfect because it has the semblance of the true will of God but is not really what God wants.
The perfect will of God is the complete, mature and full will of God. The imperfect will of God is what God allows men to do even though it is not His first choice for them.
The perfect will of God is the place where God really wants you to be. God is pleased with you when you are in His perfect will and He is excited when your name is mentioned. In the perfect will of God you are excellently positioned, fitting exactly into the original plan of God. In the perfect will of God, you perfectly meet the needs for which God designed you.
God allows His children into the imperfect will as a result of their rebelliousness and rejection of His original and perfect plan for them. When you are in the imperfect will of God, God is not really pleased with you. He is just accommodating you, being patient with you and giving you time to repent. In the imperfect will of God you may seem to have God’s favour but you are incomplete in your service to the Lord and not fulfilling God’s original purpose for your life. The imperfect will of God is the place where you are inappropriately positioned and also unqualified for your job.
