“…that they without us should not be made perfect” – Hebrews 11:40
One day, I heard someone describe some people in his church as “BBTs”. Then he said, “I myself am a “BBT”.
So I asked him, “What is a BBT”? Who is a “BBT”?
He answered, “A “BBT” is somebody who was “Born Before Technology”.
He continued, “Such people cannot learn or use computers and other modern technology.”
He explained, “When you have BBTs in charge of certain things the church is not able to move forward.”
I thought to myself, “What makes someone a “BBT” is his inability to learn anything using the fastest method of learning – copying! He cannot understand the computers, the software and the other modern gadgets because he does not copy easily.”
Copying is God’s way of making you humble. The world’s system teaches that the way to be qualified is to go to school. But the biblical way to becoming anything in the ministry is by copying and following. Copying is the natural way by which God reproduces ministers. Pride and presumption will keep us from becoming highly anointed servants.
Think about it; if you were able to do as much as certain people, it would be a great achievement. Forget about outshining others! If you can just be as good as some of the guys ahead of you, you would have achieved a lot. The ministry is difficult. It takes a lot of grace to even please God.
