“But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.” – Matthew 19:30
Is it not mysterious that when you are last you can be first? “But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first” (Matthew 19:30).
In every race I know about, it is important to be in the first group or near the front if you are to stand any chance of coming first. Can you imagine your coach telling you,“Be last in this race so you win the medal.”
It is not easy to come from behind and pass the people who are far ahead of you. Yet, our Lord says that being last can lead to being first. This is indeed a mystery. How many believe that they will receive the first position by being the last? It is time to stop fighting the mysterious will of God. It is time to embrace it!
There is also a mystery that not seeking wealth can make you acquire wealth. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33).
The mysterious will of God declares that when you seek God you will gain the things you are not pursuing.
Usually, anyone who wants to have a lot of money, food, clothes, must work hard to acquire these things.
Yet Jesus says, “Do not seek them, and do not pursue them and you will get them.”
