READ: Revelation 2:18-29

And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write… Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because THOU SUFFEREST THAT WOMAN JEZEBEL, WHICH CALLETH HERSELF A PROPHETESS, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.” – Revelation 2:18, 20

The Thyatira church was a church of great works, great charity, great faith, great service and great patience! Everyone was blessed by the Thyatira church. But God wanted a little bit more. He wanted them to remove a woman called Jezebel who was seducing God’s servants. Jezebel was also a prophetess; she was in the ministry. The Jezebel of the Old Testament was the wife of Ahab. The spirit of Jezebel often occupies both female ministers (Jezebel the prophetess) and wives of powerful ministers (like the wife of King Ahab).

Get rid of Jezebel! Fight that woman no matter the rank or title that she holds. You see, nothing can replace the act of removing certain people from God’s house. Many people do not realize that part of our calling is to fight. Part of fighting is to have enemies. In this case, the enemy was no other than a Jezebel. This woman was causing people to fall from the high and lofty ranks of ministry into the low level of sin.

One day, a young lady entered our church to seduce one of the young pastors. This girl had previously been involved with several other ministers, causing their downfall in the ministry. When one of the inexperienced pastors fell into the hands of this lady, the pastoral team responded quickly. I watched as the pastoral team met with the young girl and removed her permanently from the church. I watched as they kept a sharp lookout in case she ever returned. You see, Jezebels who destroy and seduce people must not be allowed to continue practising their deeds. There is something you can do about it.
