READ: Lamentations 5:1-8

For out of prison he cometh to reign; whereas also he that is born in his kingdom becometh poor. :-Ecclesiastes 4:14

God is looking for someone to deliver people from reproach and other evils. When servants rule, the nation trembles. When servants rule, there is a lot of confusion, poverty and mismanagement. When servants rule, there is a lot of shabbiness, filth, dirt and ugliness in the environment. When servants rule, there is a general inability to move forward.

When servants rule, there is an inability to take decisions. When servants rule, there is no financial security for anyone. When servants rule, there is total dependency on hand-outs, gifts and loans from an external source.

When servants rule, grandiose plans are presented, but there is no ability to implement or execute these plans. When servants are in charge, there are lots of festivities, parties and anniversary celebrations. The servant is so glad that he is finally a leader that he gives himself to endless merriment and revelries.

When servants rule, there is disorganisation. When servants rule, there are a lot of meetings, conferences and seminars but no action is ever taken. When servants rule, there is a lot of waste. Servants do not know how to save things because they have never had to create or build anything.

Indeed, everyone born under such rule is usually poor. God is looking for people who will be good leaders and deliver people who are led by such servant-rulers.
