READ: Proverbs 12:2-3
“The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.” – Proverbs 12:19
After you are born again you will become established by telling the truth and being honest. Telling the truth and being honest with yourself is the master key to spiritual growth. The Bible teaches us that by speaking the truth we may grow up in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 4:15).
Being honest about your struggles and about realities in Christ will help you to overcome the devil. Most Christians are not honest about their challenges. People like to present a perfect picture, but things are not perfect for anyone. Most Christians think that the Christian sitting next to them in church cannot have any problems, especially the ones that they are having. This hypocrisy makes Christians fall away because they feel they are not worthy to be among the saints. Be open! Be honest about your challenges and you will receive help. If you say you have a spiritual problem someone will give you some spiritual aid. If we walk in the light as He is in the light, we will have true fellowship (1 John 1:7).
After you are born again you become established by putting away wickedness from your life. Establishment comes by removing the wicked from your company and your presence. When you are born again, you have transitioned from a life of wickedness into a new life in Christ. Old things are passed away and all things are become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). It is essential that you put away the wickedness of your past life and embrace the new things that God is bringing into your life.
