“There is no fear in love: but perfect love drives out fear…The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” – 1 John 4:1 New International Version
It is children who receive the most precious gifts from their parents. It is children and not equals or colleagues who receive an inheritance from their fathers.
There comes a time in the life of a woman when she tends to challenge the authority of a man. I do not blame her because many men are irresponsible and are not trustworthy.
However, fighting against men and campaigning against their authority may easily keep you from the anointing. You will have a perpetually resistant attitude towards God’s gift. A woman therefore needs to ensure that she does not erect a barrier that would hinder the flow of God’s blessings to her from His chosen vessel, who is likely to be a man. You see, many of the vessels that God uses are men.
Sometimes, a background of sinful experiences with different men makes it difficult for a woman to trust any man. She has little confidence in her father, her pastor or any man of God. She simply cannot believe in the existence of goodness and purity. Sometimes, just by growing up in a culture of suspicion and gossip, the seeds of mistrust are sown forever. Such women tend to be perpetually doubtful, unbelieving, sceptical and suspicious.
Typically, a woman who is unable to trust is unable to love because she is full of fear. However, perfect love casts out fear. The Bible says that love “…believeth all things…” (1 Corinthians 13:7).
