READ: Exodus 14:19-25
… And THE LORD WENT BEFORE THEM BY DAY IN A PILLAR OF A CLOUD, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night: …from before the people. – Exodus 13:20-22
The presence of God served as a protection for Moses and the children of Israel. The pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night prevented the demonic hordes of Egypt from coming close. Today, the demonic hordes that seek to destroy you are prevented from coming close because of the presence of God.
You can expect the presence of God to give you guidance. There are many people in ministry who are no longer led by the Holy Spirit. The children of Israel never disconnected themselves from the pillar of cloud or the pillar of fire. That was what kept them alive. In the same way, you cannot disconnect from the presence of God if you are being led by the Spirit. The presence of God goes with you as you are on the move. The presence of God is a wonderful guiding post for ministry.
Your enemies will be troubled because God is with you. The power of God that broods around you will cause trouble to your enemies. People will start dying as they attack you, as they intimidate you, as they plan against you and as they seek to embarrass you. … the Lord looked unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the host of the Egyptians, …so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the Lord fighteth for them against the Egyptians. Exodus 14:24-25
When the presence of God is with you, you will have divine protection. It may not be a pillar of cloud or a pillar of fire but God will definitely protect you. The presence of God is a protection against many evils. Certain things that would have happened to you did not happen just because of the presence of God.
