READ: 1 Peter 5:1-13
“Be sober, be vigilant; because YOUR ADVERSARY the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” – 1 Peter 5:8
Your adversaries are resisting the idea of you becoming anything important. All forms of resistance that you feel as you attempt to obey the will of God, are caused by the many adversaries. I have felt resistance from all quarters since I began my ministry.
Sometimes the resistance is from the world out there, but sometimes it is from my bishops; sometimes it is from my helpers; sometimes it is from my family. Whatever the case, you must identify resistance as demonic.
An adversary is someone who opposes, obstructs, prevents and stops you from achieving what you have set out to accomplish.
When you think of the words opposition, frustration, difficulties, delays, think of demons. Think of satanic activities whenever you are experiencing delays, frustration and obstructions to your calling.
Many frustrations in the ministry are caused by demons. No matter how beautiful things look on the outside, evil spirits are present. Evil spirits are present to oppose, frustrate and fight God’s servants.
Many of the difficulties and challenges that a minister experiences, are caused by evil spirits. The more spiritual you become, the more conscious you will be of the activity of evil spirits.
As part of the plans to oppose you, satan sets out to frustrate you. Every kind of irritation, disturbance and annoyance that you experience are all signs of demonic activity. Sometimes, the irritation and annoyance come from internal issues. A simple job can drag on and becomes a long and unpleasant experience. It is the constant presence of devils sent out to oppose and frustrate the work of God that leads to this kind of experience.
