READ: Titus 2:1-8
…and Saul gave him Michal his daughter to wife. and Saul saw and knew that the LORD was with David, and that Michal Saul’s daughter loved him.:- 1 Samuel 18:27-28
The Bible teaches us that wives should love their husbands. In Titus 2:4, the Bible directly says that wives should love their husbands. To some people, this instruction may come as a strange one. I thought that love was automatic! But why would the Bible be giving this instruction if it was?
There are many wives who do not love their husbands. Sometimes they love other people’s husbands. Sometimes they do not care much about their husbands any more.
Woman, perhaps you have been hurt and disgraced so many times that you just do not care any more. Perhaps you do not expect anything from your marriage. You have decided to just exist until you die. Woman, let go of that hurt and let a sweet spirit be in you! Do not bear a grudge in your heart.
Please do not make a mistake; loving your husband is an instruction from God! You must draw near to him and show
him love.
Love him in a way he can feel it.
Love him with your mind.
Love him with your body.
Love him with your natural gifts.
When Michal loved her husband, it made him more powerful. Did you know that when you love your husband, it brings him promotion? David became so powerful that Saul was scared of him. David’s strength grew because his wife loved him.
