READ: 1 Samuel 25:2-32

And Nabal answered David’s servants, and said, WHO IS DAVID? AND WHO IS THE SON OF JESSE? there be many servants now a days that break away every man from his master” – 1 Samuel 25:10

A lack of understanding makes you proud and argumentative. Abigail was a woman of good understanding. Her husband, Nabal, did not have that characteristic. She is the one who understood that David and his men were the reason why they were so prosperous and blessed. Nabal could not see the connection between David’s activities and his prosperity. People who lack understanding are ungrateful and argumentative. They will have long discussions and arguments because they simply cannot see through the maze. They do not understand how things work. They do not understand how things are achieved. Discussions do not lead anywhere. Meetings take forever. Arguments are heated and longwinded. They are like brute beasts.
