READ: Luke 24:36-53
“And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be ENDUED WITH POWER from on high.” – Luke 24:49
Jesus warned the disciples to wait until they were endued with power. Everyone needs to be endued with power. If you are not endued with power you will never see a great change. After you are born again, a great change will come into your life when you are endued with the power of the Holy Spirit.
It takes great power to be a Christian. The world is full of pleasures, temptations and things we desire. The girls desire boys and the boys desire girls! This is normal! It takes the power of God to stop doing what is natural. God knows that we are helplessly drawn to sin. That is why He has given us the Holy Spirit.
…and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. Acts 2:38-39
You should listen to some of the testimonies of people who are utterly transformed by the power of God. Drug addicts are delivered from drugs! Smokers are able to stop smoking! Fornicators are able to preach to the girls they once slept with!
All these great changes are possible only through the power of the Holy Spirit. Do you want a great change in your life? Pray and ask for the Holy Spirit. Receive the Holy Spirit and depend on the Holy Spirit! You will be amazed at the great change in your life!
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? Luke 11:13
