“..if perhaps now at last by the will of God I may succeed in coming to you.” – Romans 1:10 (NASB)
All great leaders know that they are more vulnerable when they travel. The perfect will of God is important when a minister is planning his journeys and his ministry. You cannot travel just anywhere you want to. You must go to places God directs you to.
This makes it all the more important to know the will of God when you are planning a journey for the ministry. It is better to stay at home than to go somewhere God has not sent you to. Be filled with the knowledge of God’s will concerning your travels.
A quick look at the ministry journeys of most pastors reveals an interesting pattern. Our travels seem to be directed towards wealthy areas and cities. African pastors seem to be mostly “led by the Spirit” to plant churches in European and American destinations.
Similarly, American pastors are mysteriously led to mostly American or European destinations. How come the Holy Spirit is not leading His servants to where most of the souls are?
Could it be that something else is guiding our travels and our journeys? Could money or the lack of it be the real reason for the journeys we make? Or do we make these journeys because they are the will of God?
Dear friend, be careful that every journey you make is by the will of God and not by the will of money!
