READ: Matthew 9:27-31
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is… ” – Hebrews 11:6
The two blind men in today’s Scripture passage were people who followed Jesus. This means they were in His presence for a long time. However, they were not healed or affected by the power of God. You can be in the presence of great supernatural power and not be affected by it.
Once, I stood under an electric pylon carrying 11,300 volts for more than an hour but it had no effect on me because I neither touched it nor tapped into it. I could hear the sound of electricity sizzling through the cables and sensed that it was very, very dangerous.
The two blind men followed Jesus until He asked the question, “Do you believe that I am able to heal?”
This goes to explain that if you are in the presence of a mighty power and you do not believe in it, it will not have any effect on you. If you sit near the anointing and you do not have faith in it, it will have no effect on you. The way to get connected to God’s immense power is by believing in the vessel God has chosen.
In my church, there are people who believe that I am able and there are others who do not believe that I am able. There are people who believe that I am anointed and that God has called me, but there are others who do not believe in such things! Those who believe, connect and those who do not believe keep watching. You may be near and in the presence of power, but never connect to it.
