READ: Luke 19:1-10
“And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost” – Luke 19:9-10
God did not send Jesus Christ into this world to distribute earthly riches, wealth and material goods. You will notice Jesus urging his followers to sell what they had, to distribute to the poor and to follow Him.
Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. Matthew 19:21
You will notice Jesus Christ warning His followers not to lay up treasures on earth as is the manner of some.
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: Matthew 6:19-20
You will notice Jesus Christ warning that you cannot serve God and mammon.
No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Luke 16:13
It is time to build a soul winning, mission conscious church. What is a soul winning, mission conscious church? A soul winning, mission conscious church is a church which is conscious of God’s agenda on earth. It is a church that wants to win souls, start missions and go into the world preaching the gospel. In a soul winning, mission conscious church, everybody is interested in winning souls for Jesus.
