And the Spirit and the bride say, COME. And let
him that heareth say, COME. And let him that is
athirst COME. And whosoever will, let him take
the water of life freely.
Revelation 22:17

All through the Bible, God invites people to come to
Him. This is the season of God’s kindness and love towards
mankind. It is the season when He is inviting. It is the season
when He is saying, “Come”. Anyone who does not heed this
invitation will pay dearly for refusing this great invitation.

1. COME: God is inviting you to come and enjoy the
waters of life freely. There is no charge because
all charges have been paid already by the blood of
Jesus Christ.
Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters,
and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea,
come, buy wine and milk without money and without
price.
Isaiah 55:1

2. COME: God is inviting you to come to Jesus even
though you are laden with sin and many other evils.
Most people do not want to associate with people who have
problems. They do not want you to come around them any more.
But God is not like that! He is calling you to come with your
problems.
COME UNTO ME, all ye that labour and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28

3. COME: Jesus is inviting you to come because He
wants to heal you.
There was a certain blind man in Jericho called Bartimaeus.
He was a beggar who sat along a street that was an entry point
into the city. One day as he sat there he heard a sound like the
shuffling of many feet so he asked what was happening. Someone
told him that Jesus was passing by. When Bartimaeus heard that
it was Jesus he began to shout, “Jesus, thou Son of David, have
mercy on me.”
The disciples told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more,
“Thou son of David, have mercy on me.” Bartimaeus continued
shouting till Jesus told him to come.
And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho
with his disciples and a great number of people, blind
Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side
begging.
And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he
began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have
mercy on me. And many charged him that he should hold
his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son
of David, have mercy on me. And Jesus stood still, and
commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man,
saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; HE CALLETH
THEE.
And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.
Mark 10:46-50

4. COME: Jesus is inviting you to come because He loves
you. It is when you are loved that you are invited to
come.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.
John 3:16

The King’s Wife

There was a certain king who had many wives. One day, I
met one of the wives of the king. She told me she was the king’s
favourite so I asked her how she knew she was the favourite.
She answered, “Because he asks me to come to him all the
time. He calls for me all the time, but does not call the other
wives as often.”
I asked, “At what times does she call for you?”
“At any time,” she replied. “He can call me to come in the
morning, in the afternoon, in the evening or even at midnight.”
So what do you do if he calls for you at midnight?”
She replied, “I have a bath, dress up, do up my hair and go
happily.”

5. COME: God is inviting you to come to Him so that
you will have life. If you come to Him you will have
eternal life.
And ye will not COME TO ME, that ye might have life.
John 5:40
Come

6. COME: Jesus is inviting you to come because He has
prepared a great supper for you. God is inviting you
to a great supper.
And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were
bidden, COME; FOR ALL THINGS ARE NOW READY.
Luke 14:17
