When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi,
he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I
the SON OF MAN am?
And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist:
some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ,
the Son of the living God.
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou,
Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it
unto thee, but my Father which is in Heaven.
Matthew 16:13-17
1. Who is Jesus? Jesus was the Son of man. Because
He was the Son of man, He can be touched with the
feeling of our infirmity.
When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea
Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, whom do
men say that I the SON OF MAN am?
Matthew 16:13
The Lift
I once had a church member who gave a lift to a young lady.
Half way through the journey, the passenger disappeared from
the car and could not be found anymore. The church member
was terrified, to say the least.
She searched everywhere but her passenger had vanished into
thin air. I was called to attend to this petrified church member.
This shows that some of the so-called human beings are
actually not human beings at all. They may be spirit beings or
entities, which are illegally moving around on earth.
Jesus Christ emphasized that He was the Son of Man because
He wanted everyone to know that He was legally present on earth
and had not come by any illegitimate channel. He had been born
into this world like every other human being.
2. Who is Jesus? Jesus is a Great Prophet.
Many people knew that Jesus was a Prophet because of
His supernatural abilities. The woman of Samaria knew and
recognized that Jesus was a Prophet because He knew that she
had had five husbands and was not married to the man she was
currently with. When he raised the dead man in the city of Nain
the Bible says that they glorified God and said a great Prophet
had arisen in the city.
And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God,
saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and,
That God hath visited his people.
Luke 7:16
Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.
The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus
said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband: For
thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast
is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.
The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a
prophet.
John 4:16-19
3. Who is Jesus? Jesus is the Way the Truth and the
Life.
Jesus is the Way because no sinner can enter into Heaven
without going through Him.
Jesus is the Way because His blood is the way to go to Heaven.
It was His blood that was shed on Calvary. His blood is what
makes a way for murderers, thieves, fornicators and liars to go
to Heaven.
Jesus saith unto him, I AM THE WAY, the truth, and the
life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:6
4. Who is Jesus? Jesus is the Son of God.
This means that the blood that Jesus shed was not ordinary
blood. It was the blood of the Son of God. The blood of bulls,
the blood of angels, the blood of any man could not pay the
price for so many people. Jesus was the Son of God that is why
His blood was powerful. It was enough to pay the price for the
lives of over 20 million Ghanaians, 150 million Nigerians, 1.2
billion Chinese people, and 1.1 billion Indians to mention a few!
Normal blood expires and loses its power. The blood of Jesus is
the blood of the Son of God so it can never expire. Receive the
blood of Jesus today!
5. Who is Jesus? Jesus is the Light of the World.
Light is a symbol of spiritual truth; it is the light that sets you
free from the darkness of occultism, idol worship and witchcraft.
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of
the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness,
but shall have the light of life.
John 8:12
When we follow Jesus He takes darkness away from our lives.
6. Who is Jesus? Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life
of this world.
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he
that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he
live.
John 11:25
7. Who is Jesus? Jesus is the Good Shepherd. He died
on the cross for you. He loves you; He guides you and
He cares for you.
I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life
for the sheep.
John 10:11
8. Who is Jesus? Jesus is the Saviour of the world.
Come to Jesus and receive Salvation.
And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because
of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know
that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.
John 4:42
