2 Timothy 3:1-2

There is a list of eighteen moral blemishes that will characterize the last days. You will find “unthankful” in the list of terrible faults of the human race. In the last days, men will be more and more ungrateful. It is the nature of the devil to be ungrateful and forgetful about all the good things that have been done for him.

Saying, “Thank you” has been taught all over the world, as part of being courteous. Young boys and girls have been taught to say, “Thank you” when a hand is stretched out to give them something. “Thank you” is said as the hand is stretched out and even before you receive the gift. Saying, “Thank you” is also a part of the Christian culture. In your Christian culture, you must learn the art of saying, “Thank you” and the art of being thankful.

And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Colossians 3:17

However, being thankful is much more than being part of a nation’s culture. Saying, “Thank you” is to fulfil an important spiritual principle. Being thankful is indeed also a spiritual condition. Saying, “Thank you” is a weapon! Being thankful fights evil spirits. Being thankful creates an atmosphere for the presence of the Holy Spirit.
