READ: 2 Samuel 7:1-12
“And the Lord said unto David my father, whereas it was in thine heart to build an house unto my name, THOU DIDST WELL THAT IT WAS IN THINE HEART. ” – 1 Kings 8:18
When you build a house for God, God will build a house for you! Look at the scripture above from 2 Samuel. David attempted to build a house for God. God’s response to David was that He would build a house for David. “The Lord telleth thee that He will make thee an house.” If you build a house for God, God will build a house for you! Building God’s church brings tremendous favour into your life.
Instead of labouring to be rich, you must labour to build the church. Building a church will bring tremendous blessing into your life. Instead of striving to build your own house, strive to build the house of God. You are working with all your heart to get more money.
Those who labour for riches often die without these riches. Those who do not labour for these riches are often given so much. Is it not interesting? Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come. For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and favour the dust thereof. Psalms 102:13-14
The time to favour God’s people has come because they are interested in the stones and the dust of God’s house. When God’s people take an interest in His house, He favours them greatly.
Labour to be like David. Labour to have the kind of heart he had! King David never laboured to be rich. Yet he died full of riches!
And he died in a good old age, FULL OF DAYS, RICHES, AND HONOUR: and Solomon his son reigned in his stead. 1 Chronicles 29:28
