READ: 1 Corinthians 2:1-7
“If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.” – Job 36:11
The curse of futility on man’s life can be overcome by applying the wisdom of God. The wisdom of God is not the wisdom of this world. If you apply the wisdom of God, you will escape the futility of life on this earth. Life on this earth is doomed to end in dust, futility and emptiness.
God’s wisdom from above is the master key to overcoming the curse on this earth. Anything in the Word of God is the wisdom from above. Following any aspect of the Word of God will lift you above the curse.
The wisdom of God says, “…seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33). When you seek the kingdom of God, you set aside frustrating earthly ambitions and the supernatural power of God is released to make you prosper.
When you work for God, the curse that is in the ground is avoided because your work is not just to get bread. You must remember that the ground is cursed (Genesis 3:19). In serving the Lord, you are not serving your own interest. You are working in His supernatural vineyard! You will receive a supernatural harvest! When you seek the kingdom of God, you invoke many promises that are reserved for servants of God. For instance, those who serve Him are promised to spend their days in prosperity.
Following God’s word and doing His work will cause you to spend your life on earth in such a way that it is not futile any more. You are lifted above the earthly limitations and frustrations that exist in the world.
