READ: Malachi 3:13-18
“And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil. ” – Exodus 23:25-26
Labour for a blessing by serving God. Labour to become a blessed person by serving God. Choosing to serve God is the greatest decision you could ever make. When you serve God, you labour and you work hard! But you are not labouring for money. You are not striving to pile up riches. You are striving to do the will of God. You want to serve God and experience His blessings.
Even when you earn money, it is not because you seek to pile up wealth. It is because you seek to do His will. Expect the blessings of those who serve God. He will bless your bread! He will bless your water! He will take sickness away from you! You will spend your days in pleasure and in prosperity (Job 1:11)!
Labour for a blessing by supporting the preaching of the gospel. Supporting the gospel is one of the ways to labour for a blessing. You cannot compare earning a few dollars with earning the blessing of those who support the gospel. What is the blessing of those who support the gospel? That blessing is simply God supplying all your needs according to His riches! Why labour for a few thousand dollars when you can labour for such a blessing?
We all have many diverse never-ending needs. It is our needs that drive us to work. We will never stop needing things. We will need things as long as we live. When you support the gospel, you can expect your needs to be taken care of for the rest of your life. Give yourself to working for the blessing that comes on those who support the gospel.
