READ: Genesis 28:10-22

The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing. ” – Zephaniah 3:17

Jacob turned into the great Israel we know by having the presence of God with him. God appeared to Jacob and promised him His presence. It was His presence that guided Jacob through all his journeys.

“And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of ” (Genesis 28:15).

It was the presence of God that gave Jacob the many children that he had. It was the presence of God that made Jacob give birth to so many sons. It was the presence of God that made Jacob prosper (Genesis 28:20-21).

It was the presence of God that made Jacob overcome the cheating and swindling by Laban. It was the presence of God that made Jacob overcome the family problems he had from his children.

It was the presence of God that enabled Jacob to see Joseph again. It was the presence of God that made Jacob live long enough to see his grandchildren. It was the presence of God that turned the descendants of Jacob into the greatest and most unique nation on earth.

It was the presence of God that transformed Jacob’s destiny. You will need God’s presence to go with you because it will transform your destiny. Indeed, the Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty. When God is in the midst of you, you are greatly blessed. He will save you! He will help you! He will deliver you! He will rejoice over you! He will rejoice over you with singing
