READ: Luke 3:7-14

Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night until the morning” – Leviticus 19:13

Employers should give good salaries and wages and ensure that people are getting something good. If people are generally not receiving enough remuneration, they have a genuine cause to be discontented. Within the limits of your context, give people a good remuneration.

Those who follow you must not only be hopeful for the future, they must be satisfied now. If you are the manager of a company, ask yourself whether your workers are happy now.

Jesus promised blessings for the future; He offered contentment and satisfaction for the now! There were houses and prosperity for today and there was eternal life for the future (Mark 10:28-30). That was Jesus’ strategy.

Teach about contentment (Hebrews 13:5). Teaching the Word of God fights the deception that comes from Satan. Teaching will always heal the curable traces of discontentment in your organization.

Recognize incurable discontentment and dismiss those affected. Some people love money so much, that nothing you do for them will ever be satisfactory (Ecclesiastes 5:10). Such people receive high salaries and more benefits but do not show any gratitude. They are cured of their discontentment only after experiencing the realities of life.
