READ: Nehemiah 2:1-9
“…And the king granted me, according to the good hand of my God upon me.” – Nehemiah 2:8
The position you occupy can become a great source of prosperity. David recognized this when he said he would prefer to be a doorkeeper in the house of the Lord than to live in tents of wickedness. “For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness” (Psalm 84:10).
It is important to recognize what God has chosen to use to bless you with. Sometimes you have a position that is more important strategically than the job itself.
Like Nehemiah, you may be the secretary to the king. “O Lord, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who desire to fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king’s cupbearer” (Nehemiah 1:11). The job of a secretary itself may not be that prestigious but being the secretary to the king may hold greater prospects than being the manager of a bank. Sometimes, the position becomes more important than the job itself. Being the head of an ant is still smaller than being the tail of the elephant.
Recognize when God blesses you through strategic positioning. Flow in the position that God has granted you and make the most of it. It may be the door to all the blessings of your life.
