Stubbornness and rebellion are also related ills. You often find rebellion somewhere in the company of stubbornness. “And they shall say unto the elders of his city, this our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard” (Deuteronomy 21:20). Stalin, the leader of Russia who caused the deaths of millions of his own people, was known to be a stubborn person. He was dismissed from Bible School for his stubborn views. Hitler, another mass murderer, was also known for his stubbornness in his childhood.

The triple action syndrome of foolishness, stubbornness and rebellion can be found in most people who cause divisions and church splits. People who leave churches unceremoniously, destroying whatever they can on their way out are often possessed by this triple action demon – foolishness, stubbornness and rebellion.

For I will show you lessons from our history, stories handed down to us from former generations. I will reveal these truths to you so that you can describe these glorious deeds of Jehovah to your children and tell them about the mighty miracles he did. For he gave his laws to Israel and commanded our fathers to teach them to their children, so that they in turn could teach their children too. Thus his laws pass down from generation to generation. In this way each generation has been able to obey his laws and to set its hope anew on God and not forget his glorious miracles. Thus they did not need to be as their fathers were-stubborn, rebellious, unfaithful, refusing to give their hearts to God. Psalm 78:2-8, The Living Bible
