READ: Romans 5:1-11
“Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him” – Romans 5:9
If what the accuser of the brethren says is the right thing, then judgement must be meted out to us. Somehow, God does not pass the judgements that correspond to all these accusations. If many of the accusations were to be followed up, most of the accused people would have to be put to death and sent to Hell.
Somehow, the accusations are not valid. We have been declared not guilty to all charges, allegations and accusations because of the blood of Jesus. The blood of Jesus and the mercy of God have changed the equation and rendered the accusations of none effect. Satan knows this but he still intimidates us and harasses us with accusations, guilt and fear until we are confused. He fights us with so much confusion that we do not know whether we are good or bad!
Because of the blood of Jesus, we are free and forgiven. God actually loves us and really likes us though it is difficult to believe sometimes. He wants us to be with Him and He has a deep, passionate and warm feeling for us. “But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us” (Romans 5:8, Amplified Bible).
I can tell you that because of numerous accusations, I find it difficult to believe that God loves me so much. I feel sinful and I know the reality of sin in me. Satan thrives on these feelings and condemns us constantly. But we shall overcome the accuser of the brethren in Jesus’ name.
