READ: Hebrews 3:7-15
“But he who listens to me shall live securely And will be at ease from the dread of evil.” : – Proverbs 1:33, NASB
The voice of the Lord is one of the cardinal signs of His presence. You must be led by the Spirit of God so that you abide in the presence of God.
Think about it! When someone is present in a home, you hear his voice. When a person dies and is no longer around, you no longer hear his voice because he is no longer present.
You will notice that ministers who hear from God have a certain aura and presence around them. This is because they are near enough to His presence and are hearing His voice.
This is an important revelation because it helps you not to depend on things which are not sure signs of His presence.
Success and wealth are not signs of God’s presence. It is true that the presence of a person may mean that the fridge will be full of food.
But suffering and sad experiences do not mean that God is not with you. Paul had many difficult experiences but he said that none of those things could separate him from the love of God.
A sure sign of the presence of God and the anointing is His voice. Seek for His voice everyday. Do not allow His voice to grow dim and faint.
