READ: Psalm 23
“Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.” – Psalm 143:10
You must be led by the Spirit of God so that all your needs are met.
The first sign that you are being led by the voice of the Holy Spirit is “not wanting”. “I shall not want” is what you will say after you have followed the Shepherd for some time! You will be able to say with David, “I have no needs; I am blessed in every way.” In order to experience this, you must follow the leading of the Spirit. Don’t you want to experience the abundance of all things? Be led by the Spirit of God and you will never lack any good thing.
Another sign that you are being led by the voice of the Holy Spirit is a peaceful home and resting place. You must follow the Holy Spirit until He gives you a restful marriage and home. You must be led by the Spirit of God so that you live in fresh and restful places.
Without the guidance of the Holy Spirit into the perfect will of God, you will never lie down in peaceful green pastures. “He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters” (Psalm 23:2).
Green pasture speaks of peace and happiness. It speaks of the marriages we all desire.
You will never have true happiness unless you marry the person God wants you to marry. If you allow Him, the Holy Spirit will lead you to a peaceful marriage.
